did i miss something profound that has happened in the last couple of weeks? why the heck is everyone going on and on about this all of a sudden? twitter has been around for some time and i’ve known about for at least one year (so i guess that makes me super-wicked-awesome-cool). i guess it takes a hipster blackberry-totting president to take the white house before the mainstream news media tries to “get with it“. now everybody and my cat is talking about it like it’s the coolest thing since facebook. have we hit some bizarre tipping point?
don’t get me wrong–i’m not a twitter-hater. i don’t have a need for it day to day but i’ve used it in the past during meetings and conferences to hook up with the free booze. it’s just that if i hear one more news report or internet story that regurgitates the first sentence from their wikipedia article i’m going to lose. twitterbaters….
